Built for LGBTQIA+ Mental Health, Not Adapted After the Fact
Chroma Wellness Center exists because too many LGBTQIA+ people have been misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or asked to educate their own providers.
We do this work differently.
Our Denver mental health center focuses exclusively on LGBTQIA+ care. That focus shapes everything, from how therapy is delivered to how group spaces are facilitated to how recovery is supported. Identity is not treated as a side note here. It is part of the clinical picture, and it matters.
Clinical services are led by licensed professionals with deep experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and identity-related stress.
This work is grounded in training, experience, and long-term commitment to the community.
Mental Health & Outpatient Services Available in Denver
Our Denver location offers a full range of outpatient services. Some clients work with us weekly. Others need more structure for a period of time. Both are valid paths.
Therapy & Counseling
We offer individual therapy, couples counseling, and chosen family therapy using trauma-informed approaches such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, and Internal Family Systems. Sessions are collaborative and paced with care.
Outpatient Mental Health Programs
For clients who need additional support beyond weekly therapy, we offer:
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
A structured, daytime program that provides intensive support while allowing you to live at home. - Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
A flexible option that balances consistent care with work, school, or family responsibilities.
Both programs include group therapy, individual sessions, psychiatric support, and wellness services. Care plans adjust as your needs change.
Addiction & Dual-Diagnosis Support
Our Denver team provides outpatient addiction support that is LGBTQIA+ affirming, harm-reduction focused, and non-punitive. Mental health and substance use are addressed together, not separately.
Holistic & Integrative Wellness
Programs may include trauma-informed yoga, somatic therapy, mindfulness, creative expression, acupuncture, and Reiki to support nervous system regulation and whole-person care.
Gender-Affirming Care
We provide therapy for transgender and nonbinary clients, as well as letters for HRT and gender-affirming surgeries without unnecessary barriers.

What It’s Like to Start Care at Chroma Denver
The first step is a conversation. Not an interrogation. Not a checklist.
We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, what support might help, and whether therapy, IOP, PHP, or another option makes sense. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you that honestly.
Group therapy is a core part of many programs. It can feel intimidating at first. Most people tell us it becomes the place they feel the least alone.
